The Quad Bike Workplace Safety Project (QBWSP) aims to obtain a better understanding of quad bike use and related crashes and injuries that occur in the Australian workplaces. Outcomes from the study will answer some important research questions about quad bike safety that can only be answered through a comprehensive survey of workplace quad bike users. Answers to these questions will be used to develop new quad bike safety programs, policies and products that are expected to save many lives and prevent many serious injuries.

The research project is being undertaken by Transport and Road Safety (TARS) Research Centre at The University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is sponsored by SafeWork NSW. As part of this project, we will ask questions about you, the quad bike that you usually ride, your training and experience as a quad bike rider, helmet use and details about any crashes you have had while riding a quad bike.

If you use a quad bike for work in Australia and are over 18 year of age we would like to hear from you. We are interested in your assistance whether you own a quad bike or just use one at work. If this sounds like you, we would love you to complete the survey. The survey will take between 15 and 25 minutes to complete (depending on how many crashes you may have had). All information you provide is anonymous and will be treated with strict confidence.

The survey is primarily designed to be completed on-line, but we will be conducting in-person surveys at selected agricultural shows and field days in regional NSW during 2016. If you would like to complete the survey on-line, please download and read the Participant Information Sheet before proceeding to the Survey. The survey is expected to take between 15 and 25 minutes of your time.
