Transport and Road Safety Research Centre's Director, Professor Ann Williamson, has retired from UNSW. She will however continue her long association with the University, and has been conferred the title of Emeritus Professor of UNSW Sydney.

Professor Emma Johnston, Dean of the UNSW Faculty of Science, said "Under her leadership, TARS Research continues to be one of Australia's best known and respected centres for research and advocacy on road safety."

Ann Williamson retired from UNSW at the end of 2018.
