TARS Research and the Road Safety Commission today released a guide for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people seeking to improve road safety in their community. The guide stemmed from earlier Austroads and WA Government funded research to conduct a safe system demonstration project in a remote community. The research provided evidence that a safe system audit, implementation plan and improved outcomes could be achieved in remote settings. The guide provides information for communities wishing to follow the same process and information where to find support and funding.
