For decades, many developed countries have required novice drivers to display identifiers (or decals) on the outside of their vehicles so that law enforcement and other drivers know that learner or novice drivers are behind the wheel. - introducing the international history and rationale behind the use of identifiers to enhance the effectiveness of GDL programs in lowering teen crash rates
- Examine New Jersey’s implementation of the new driver decal requirement and the state's efforts related to education, law enforcement and compliance, as well as related legal resistance
- Explain the results of a published study on the effect of the decal requirement in the first year of implementation and explore research questions for future study
